50% fan-owned
Members Club
50% fan-owned. Four elected members sit on the club's governance board. Most fans in football have to lobby from the outside of their clubs. That is not the case at Shamrock Rovers. Shamrock Rovers Members Club Ltd retains a 50% shareholding in Shamrock Rovers Football Club - in advocating for the fans, four elected members represent the Members Club on the governance board of the Football Club. Membership is open to all: pick the option that suits you best and sign up.
Why we are members-owned
What the Members Club stands for
These principles underpin Shamrock Rovers Members Club Ltd - the organisation that holds a 50% shareholding in the Football Club and gives supporters a real voice in how the club is run.
- Shamrock Rovers belongs to the people who cherish it most: the supporters. We all have a part to play in giving the club a stable foundation so it can be enjoyed by supporters for generations to come.
- Membership is open to every supporter who wishes to join. The club operates on the democratic principle of one member, one vote.
- Shamrock Rovers is run on a not-for-profit basis, so the club will never again find itself in a perilous financial situation. Any surplus is reinvested in the club.
- Structures are in place to keep Shamrock Rovers a dominant force in Irish football - challenging for national honours and representing the club with honour, pride and dignity in Europe.
- There is complete integration of Shamrock Rovers at every level, from the Junior Academy to the First Team. Every player, coach, staff member and volunteer is a valued part of the Shamrock Rovers family.
- In Tallaght, Shamrock Rovers plays as full a role as possible in the community, as a key part of sporting and civic life in Tallaght and South Dublin.
- Founded in Ringsend and resident in Milltown for over six decades, the club's history must never be forgotten: Ringsend, Milltown and Tallaght are our three spiritual homes.
- In recognition of the loss of Glenmalure Park, our beloved former home at Milltown, black became the club's third official colour alongside the traditional green and white hoops.
- The squad number 12 is worn by no Shamrock Rovers player. It belongs to the supporters.
