Policies and regulations
The policies and rules that keep matchdays safe and welcoming for everyone at Tallaght Stadium - cookie policy, ground regulations, banners and flags, drums and instruments, and the terms that apply to your tickets.
Matchday conduct
Ground regulations
All persons entering Tallaght Stadium are admitted subject to these regulations and the rules of Shamrock Rovers FC and the FAI. Entry is deemed unqualified acceptance of them.
- All persons entering the ground are admitted subject to these Ground Regulations and the rules of Shamrock Rovers FC and the Football Association of Ireland. Entry constitutes unqualified acceptance of those rules.
- Fireworks, flares, laser pens, smoke canisters, bottles, glasses, cans, offensive flags or banners, missiles, poles and similar articles or containers - including anything that could be used as a weapon - are not permitted. Anyone in possession of such an item may be refused entry or ejected.
- Alcohol may be consumed only in licensed bar areas. Spectators may not bring alcohol into the ground.
- Climbing floodlight pylons, stands, fences or other buildings in the ground is forbidden.
- Unnecessary noise (such as from radio sets) and behaviour likely to cause confusion or nuisance, including foul or abusive language, is not permitted in any part of the ground.
- Anyone using racist taunts or language, or behaving in a manner likely to be deemed racist, may be refused entry or ejected. This applies equally to offensive behaviour of any sort.
- Throwing any object onto the pitch is prohibited under any circumstances.
- Spectators may not enter the field of play. Anyone who does so will be ejected and banned from attending future games.
- Anyone who fails to comply with the instructions of a steward or An Garda Síochána may be ejected from the ground.
- The right of admission is reserved by Shamrock Rovers FC.
- The Club reserves the right to refuse admission to, or eject, anyone who refuses to be searched by a steward.
- Anyone who remains in a gangway may be ejected from the ground.
- The Club reserves the right for its servants or agents to remove anyone who does not comply with the Ground Regulations, or whose presence could reasonably be construed as a source of danger, nuisance or annoyance to other spectators.
- Backpacks and bags larger than A4 are not permitted into the ground, except for large fan flags which will be accommodated.
- Foul and abusive language towards volunteers and staff will not be permitted.
- Right of admission to bar areas is reserved by Shamrock Rovers FC and may be amended on a match-by-match basis. All supporters must sign in to gain admittance to the bars.
Atmosphere
Drums, instruments & megaphones
Drums, musical instruments and megaphones should be requested in advance via the Supporter Liaison Officer. Requests are discussed at the pre-match Event Control briefing and are subject to supporters' behaviour during their last visit to Tallaght Stadium.
Megaphones with a siren function are not permitted.
Tickets
Ticket terms & conditions of issue
General terms
- No surcharge applies on Visa or Mastercard debit and credit card payments.
- Senior, Young Person and Junior ticket holders must bring photographic ID to matches; Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
- The Club may refuse admission or eject anyone who does not comply with the Terms & Conditions of Entry or the Ground Regulations, and may exclude them from the membership scheme and future ticket applications.
Conditions of issue
- Tickets are issued subject to FAI and League of Ireland rules, the Conditions of Issue and the Club's Terms & Conditions of Entry.
- The Club may amend these terms from time to time; material changes are notified by email and all changes are published on the website.
- Tickets are for Shamrock Rovers supporters only. Lending tickets to fans of visiting clubs causes safety issues and is prohibited.
Admission to the ground
- A season ticket permits you to occupy the seat specified on it at Tallaght Stadium league matches.
- The Club may move you to an alternative seat in the same or a higher price bracket where your behaviour may affect others or for safety reasons.
- Mobile phones are permitted for personal, private and non-commercial use only; no other recording or transmission of match footage is allowed. Ambush marketing and distributing commercial products are prohibited, and CCTV operates in and around the ground.
Use of your ticket
- Tickets are for your sole use and may not be resold, assigned or transferred above face value or for commercial gain.
- The unauthorised sale of tickets is a criminal offence. The Club will inform An Garda Síochána and press for appropriate charges.
- A ticket may be transferred to a Guest only at or below face value, never to a supporter of a visiting club. Tickets remain the property of the Club and must be produced with ID on request.
Lost, stolen or forgotten cards
- Your ticket must be presented at every match. If you forget it, the Club is not obliged to admit you; a matchday duplicate may be issued for a non-refundable charge of €5.
- A duplicate for a damaged, lost or stolen season ticket costs a non-refundable €10.
- No charge applies if a season ticket fails to arrive by post before the season starts.
Rescheduled matches
- The Club has no further liability for the cancellation or rescheduling of a match, including any loss of profits or travel costs.
- The Club reserves the right to abandon, postpone or reschedule any match without notice.
Refunds and exchanges
- Home match tickets only. If a match is abandoned, postponed or rescheduled, you are entitled to a full refund (including any booking fee) or the equivalent ticket for the rescheduled match.
- To claim a refund, return the ticket to the Ticket Office within 7 days of the rescheduling announcement and at least 7 days before the rescheduled date.
- Refunds are issued only to the original purchaser on production of identification.
Changing your details
- Update your address via your ticketing account, or email the Ticket Office at [email protected].
Cancellation and withdrawal
- The Club may cancel a ticket for a serious or persistent breach of these terms, the Ground Regulations or the Terms & Conditions of Entry, with no refund.
- Serious breaches include intoxication, bringing in prohibited items (fireworks, flares, smoke canisters, air horns, laser devices, glass bottles, weapons), persistent standing in seated areas, selling or transferring a ticket, offensive banners or flags, fighting or inciting violence, entering the playing area, or using abusive, racist or discriminatory language.
Other terms
- The Club excludes liability for loss of property in or around the ground, except where caused by its own negligence.
- These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
- "Ground" means Tallaght Stadium, Whitestown Way, Tallaght, Dublin 24. "Photographic ID" means a passport, photographic driving licence, PPS Card or other recognised official photographic ID.
Equality and inclusion
Shamrock Rovers FC welcomes all supporters and condemns any form of bigotry and discrimination. The Club does not condone hostile abuse of individuals based on ethnic or cultural background, nationality or religious affiliation, and will not discriminate on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, or ability or disability. It is a condition of season tickets that holders do not take part in racist abuse; any such activity may result in cancellation of the season ticket.
