Biography

Leon played in the youth ranks of Eintracht Frankfurt before signing for English non-league side Tadcaster Albion in 2017. After a few months with the i2i Academy based in York, Leon signed for Shamrock Rovers in February 2018 after a spell training with the club and keeping a clean sheet in a 2-0 win in a pre-season against Cabinteely. Being number 2 to a brilliant keeper such as Alan Mannus initially curtailed Leon’s first-team appearances but he did manage to get a lot more football in 2020 with the Rovers II team.

Leon contributed to the 2021 title win with appearances against Waterford and Bohemians before an injury to Mannus propelled him to a first-team spot. Leon inherited the #1 shirt for the beginning of the 2024 season.
