Shamrock Rovers Football Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our player development programme as a Part-Time National League Academy Coach.

About the Role

We are looking for a self-motivated, committed, and experienced coach to join our Academy team. This position requires flexibility, as you will be working evenings and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-standard coaching to a National League age group
  • Educate players in line with the Shamrock Rovers Academy philosophy and methodology
  • Ensure Academy players adhere to our values and maintain discipline
  • Develop professional relationships with players’ parents
  • Complete ongoing professional development
  • Manage player availability for matches
  • Care for and maintain training equipment and playing kit
  • Attend additional training nights as required
  • Assess trialists and provide feedback
  • Participate in tournaments and trips when requested

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential:

  • UEFA A Licence
  • FAI Safeguarding 1 Certificate & Garda Vetting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible attitude to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong planning and management skills
  • Experience in football coaching and youth development

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a National League Academy environment
  • Basic First Aid Qualification
  • Full driving licence
  • UEFA Elite Youth A Licence
