Stephen Bradley gave us his views on the game earlier this week and the team news for Friday’s game at Tallaght Stadium v’s Cork City:
Monday’s 3-0 win at Finn Harps:
“I thought first half we were excellent. We were really good and played some good football. We created some good chances and scored goals. The second half was a bit scrappy, the rhythm of the game went a bit. There were a lot of free kicks and long throw ins into the box. Overall we were delighted to score three goals and keep a clean sheet up there.
The first is a great goal. If you look back at it I think there’s 16 passes before Ronan Finn finishes it. He did really well to read the play. A few wanted to take the penalty but I think when Dylan Watts is on the pitch he takes them. He really fancies them and we trust him. His record has been brilliant for us from the spot and we were happy that he tucked that one away.”
Tomorrow’s game at home to Cork:
“It’s going to be a difficult game. We know they haven’t had a good start but we have to remember that their team is full of players that have won leagues and cups. They’re experienced players and they know how to go anywhere in the league and win a game. They’ll come to Tallaght with a game plan and we’ve got to respect that they’re a good side with good players and that hasn’t changed overnight.
We’ve been away for a few weeks and Tallaght is the best pitch and the best ground in the country. It suits the way we play and we’re looking forward to getting back out in front of our fans tomorrow night and playing our football.”
“Sean Kavanagh and Sam Bone are still out and so is Aaron McEneff (quad).”
