Stephen Bradley gave us the team news update ahead of Tuesday’s EA SPORTS Cup tie at Tallaght Stadium:
“Friday’s result against Limerick was very disappointing. I thought we played excellently, we created several chances and could have been 3 or 4 up, we just weren’t able to take our chances and they had the one chance and took it at the end and got the draw. On another night it would have been a completely different story, so it’s frustrating.
Longford are a good side, we played them in pre season so we know they’ve a good squad and what they can do. They’re competing in a very close First Division so it won’t be an easy game.
We’ll have to take a look at the squad on Tuesday to assess where we are, a couple of knocks were picked up on Friday and there’s some players still coming back from injuries so we’re still uncertain about some of the lads for tomorrow. We have a very busy schedule coming up so it’s going to be difficult but we have the depth and the lads are ready to step in.”
