Shamrock Rovers and Corduff F.C. link up to pave the way for future stars of the League of Ireland.
Shamrock Rovers and Corduff F.C. have entered a partnership which sees both clubs working together to give kids from Dublin 15 a pathway to professional football in this country. Corduff FC is the largest club in the greater Blanchardstown area with 28 teams, 25 of which play in the NDSL and regularly compete at national and provincial level.
It is an extremely exciting partnership as it sees two of the most populated areas in Dublin link together for the betterment of football. Both clubs are in the process of upgrading facilities and both are fully committed to giving players every opportunity to fulfil their true potential.
Jonathan Roche, Chairman of Shamrock Rovers F.C. welcomed the agreement;
“Shamrock Rovers F.C. is delighted to announce this partnership with Corduff F.C. The work being done by Corduff, on and off the pitch, is very impressive and inspiring. Like our club, Corduff F.C. is investing in kids and giving them every chance to fulfil their dreams and ambitions. I’d like to thank the people at Corduff F.C. who made this possible and look forward to using this partnership to create the platform for the best young footballers to develop and provide a football pathway all the way through to the League of Ireland”
Stephen Morley, Chairman of Corduff F.C. added:
“We at Corduff F.C are honoured and delighted to be able to announce this working partnership with Shamrock Rovers F.C., Ireland’s most successful club at a National level. With the exponential growth and success at a local level that we have seen at Corduff F.C., it is only fitting that we move forward and partner with a top League of Ireland Club, and allow elite players from Northwest Dublin the opportunity to progress in the National league with a Club that shares the same strategic values and vision as we do. We are thankful to Shamrock Rovers for recognising our Club as a valid partner, and most importantly thankful to our community volunteers, members and fantastic young players, whose hard work, week in week out, have made this partnership happen”
