Glenn was a product of Exeter City’s youth system and made his debut for the club in 2001. He was made club captain following their relegation from the Football League in 2003. Glenn left the Grecians at the end of the 2005/06 season and played for League Two side Chester City before signing for Bohemians in 2008.
He won back-to-back league medals with Bohs who were pipped by Shamrock Rovers in the 2010 title race on goal difference. Glenn ended his playing career with Shelbourne and linked up with Pat Fenlon again by becoming assistant manager at Shamrock Rovers, where he remains an important part of the coaching set up under Stephen Bradley.
