Biography

A Dublin-born midfielder who has three caps for the Northern Ireland Under-21s, one as a Finn Harps player in 2006 and two during his eighteen months with Monaghan United. He signed for UCD in the summer of 2008 as the Belfield club went on to suffer relegation.

Darren played for both Shelbourne and Sligo Rovers in 2009 and featured in the Bit O’Red’s FAI Cup final defeat to Sporting Fingal at Tallaght Stadium. He then briefly turned out for Drogheda United before a second spell with UCD and one season at St Pat’s. 

Darren has since spent four successful seasons with Dundalk. He missed only one league game in 2014, proving an assist for 32 of their 107 goals in all competitions that year. Darren played in 3 of their 12 European games last year.
