NEXT UP: EA SPORTS CUP V BOHEMIANS
Rovers take on Bohs in the EA Sports Cup second round on Monday night at Tallaght Stadium.

Kick off is at the earlier time of 7.30pm and the tie will be played to a finish with extra time and penalties if required. Tickets available online here.

We caught up with Head Coach Stephen Bradley for his views on preparations for this game:

On Friday’s game v Sligo Rovers:

“I thought we were excellent, I thought our performance warranted maybe two or three more goals, especially in the second half we upped the tempo and played at our level, and when we do that here we’re very hard to play against and I think you saw that in the second half. I would have liked two or three more goals to make it more comfortable at the end but their keeper made some unbelievable saves. We haven’t been keeping clean sheets so we had a good chat about it as a team and I thought we worked really hard to achieve that.”

On the upcoming Bohemians game:

“It’s a great draw, we’re looking forward to it. It’s a game you want after the result we had on Friday, you want another big game for the lads and that’s exactly what we have. Obviously being Bohs it adds something to the game, which is great because it puts you on edge and I think the players play better when they’re on that edge.”

On the injury front:

“We assessed a few of the boys this morning, we’ll leave them now another 24 hours. We’ll assess them Sunday morning in training and have a look at them and then we’ll make judgments on where we are. One or two picked up knocks (against Sligo) so we’ll just have to see if they’ll recover in time to play. Obviously if it was Friday they’d be fine but it’s because of the quick turnaround. If everyone’s fit we’ll go as strong as we can, we want to go and win the game so we won’t be making wholesale changes.”
